Mougá Shelter

The Mougá Animal Shelter is dedicated to caring for pets that need a new family and a new home. It is open 24/7 all year round to provide care and rescue lost or abandoned pets.

The Association of Municipalities of the Ferrol Region, comprising the municipalities of Ares, Cabanas, Cedeira, Fene, Ferrol, Mugardos, Narón, Neda and Valdoviño, coordinates this service to ensure compliance with current animal welfare legislation and to meet the needs of communities across the region.

If you see an animal wandering around without his owner, please call 112 or the local police so that the shelter can arrange for him to be collected.

If your companion gets lost or you wish to add another pet to your family through adoption, you can contact the shelter and visit during opening hours.
